NA drive units feed wire, tube, cable and profile from 0.6 to 15 mm with one driven pair of transport rolls, clamped hydraulically. NA 60, NA 100 and NA 160 split the range at 2 and 7 mm, and all rolls are adjustable.
NA M drive units are 2-roll wire feeders with an actuator: both transport rolls are driven, each has two grooves, and pneumatic actuators clamp the material. The NA 120 M feeds wire and profile from 5 to 15 mm at 0.2 m/s (50 Hz) with 1.6 kN of transport force, for continuous rather than intermittent feed.
NA S drive units feed wire, tube, cable and profile from 0.6 to 15 mm with one driven pair of transport rolls and pneumatic clamping. NA 60 S, NA 100 S and NA 160 S split the range at 2 and 7 mm, and all rolls are adjustable.
NAB drive units feed strip and profile with one driven pair of transport rolls, supported by bearings on both sides. NAB 100 and NAB 160 are the two sizes; ask us to confirm the width and thickness range for your material.

NAD S drive units feed wire, tube, cable and profile from 0.6 to 15 mm with two driven pairs of transport rolls and pneumatic clamping. NAD 60 S, NAD 100 S and NAD 160 S split the range at 2 and 7 mm, and all rolls are adjustable.
NADH drive units are 4-roll feeders for high transport force: four hydraulic motors drive the rolls directly, and hydraulic cylinders open and close the unit quickly. The NADH 160 feeds wire, tube, cable and profile from 15 to 40 mm, opens up to 60 mm so curved wire passes freely, and is the recommended unit for transport forces of 10 kN and higher.
NADV drive units feed wire, tube, cable and profile from 7 to 40 mm with four transport rolls, clamped hydraulically. The NADV 160-100 suits precision straightening lines and the transport of heavy round wire and tube up to 40 mm.
NAH drive units are 2-roll feeders whose rolls are driven directly by hydraulic motors, with hydraulic clamping. The NAH 160 feeds round steel wire from 15 to 40 mm with up to 6 kN of transport force and opens up to 60 mm so curved wire passes freely.
NAK drive units feed with transport belts instead of rolls, which grip with less surface pressure on the material. They clamp the material against a fixed edge, and NAK 60, NAK 100 and NAK 160 cover 1 to 40 mm of wire, tube, strip, cable and profile.
NAK Z drive units feed with transport belts and clamp the material centrically: a pneumatic cylinder moves each belt toward the material. NAK 60 Z covers 0.6–15 mm with 0.5 kN of transport force and NAK 160 Z covers 0.6–40 mm with 2.5 kN; both are supplied with or without an actuator.
NAL Z drive units feed with transport belts and can clamp the material centrically or non-centrically. The NAL 160 Z covers 0.6–15 mm, takes material up to 75 mm wide and gives about 2.5 kN of transport force at 180 Nm input torque, for coated or uncoated soft materials as well as high-strength wire and strip.
Drive units — also called feeders — clamp wire or tube between pairs of driven rolls or caterpillars and use motor power to pull or push material through a processing line at a controlled, consistent speed, with contact force set high enough to prevent slippage but low enough to avoid marking the material. That role matters wherever downstream equipment — straighteners, cutters, formers — depends on steady, accurately metered feed to hold its own tolerance. Witels Albert's drive unit series are available in 2-roll and 4-roll configurations, including caterpillar-style units, for wire, tube, strip, cable, and profile processing lines.
Selecting a drive unit starts with your material's diameter and the pull-off force your line requires to overcome coil inertia, bearing friction, and the tensile force added by any upstream bends — larger or stiffer material generally needs a unit sized for higher drive force. Where a drive unit feeds directly into a straightener or other downstream station, matching its footprint and feed characteristics to that equipment is also part of the selection; most Witels Albert drive units offer adjustable roll positioning to support that fit.
