Straightener/accessories

The range of add-on elements and devices for a straightener or straightening system — from guide blocks to micrometer screws and actuators — classified by application, safety, handling, design, and maintenance.
Exploded technical drawing of straightener accessories with a trilingual (German/French/English) numbered parts list including cover plate, cam lock, guide pulley, guide block, adjusting screws, micrometer adjustment, cylinders, height-adjustable straightening roller, grease nipple, clamping lever, excenters, and connecting bracket.

The range of accessories available for a straightener or straightening system can be classified according to

  1. application, size and surroundings,
  2. safety and operating reliability,
  3. handling and use,
  4. design,
  5. maintenance.

For each of these categories WITELS-ALBERT offers a large selection of elements and devices which are well described in the company's documentation.

The handling of a straightener, for example, largely depends on the technical elements provided to position its straightening roll. In addition to the conventional roller positioning method using an adjusting screw it is possible to use a micrometer screw, an adjusting spindle with knurled edge, or an actuator (hydraulic cylinder, pneumatic cylinder, stepping motor or servo motor).
