Description

Witels Albert offers feeders (also known as drive units) the NAK Z two Belt Caterpillar unit with two belts. The NAK  Z drive unit also features centric clamping of the process material. Each of the two feed belts is mounted on a movable insert, which can be positioned with a pneumatic cylinder to clamp the material in the direction of movement of the cylinder. The inserts are adjusted in the open position using a wedge. A spindle mechanism and mechanical position indicator are provided to ensure reproducible adjustment. In contrast to upstream and downstream mechanisms, the unit can be used to clamp and feed process materials which have varying diameters or symmetrical cross-sections in thickness between 0.6 mm and 40.0 mm while maintaining a defined, identical zero. The NAK Z is suitable for operations that work with wire, tube and cable in coil making, cutting, forming and straightening applications and is manufactured in the German tradition of the highest quality. The units can easily handle material diameters from 0.5mm – 40mm and are manufactured in two different sizes. Optional belt materials are offered to best suit unique applications and materials.
